Description
Construction of a facility housing the operations, maintenance, and bus parking activities for SYTRAL (Mixed Transport Union for the Rhône and Lyon Metropolitan Area).
At the heart of the block, between the office areas and the parking space, a sheltered terrace offers rest areas for the staff.
- White polished precast concrete façades installed by crane
- Structural works similar to civil engineering: 100-meter ramp, 11-meter-high columns poured in a single cast, lifting pits
Technical and usage specifications
- The historic façade is preserved and restored using appropriate stone treatment, as well as restoration of coatings and architectural details with colors matching the original
- A vertically landscaped façade, known as the “Bamboo Grove”, acts as a green filter between the street and the building
- Vegetated hills on the roof formed by sheds undulating parallel to the Saône River. Natural light enters from the northwest, softened by wired glass
