Description
Partial renovation of the Maurice Thorez Aquatic Stadium with the goal of improving the energy performance of the facility.
The project is part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games program, in which the facility has been designated as a training venue.
Planned Works :
- Refurbishment of HVAC systems, water treatment, domestic hot water (DHW), and heat production
- Certification of the 50-meter pool for water polo and artistic swimming
- Modernization of the pool, including installation of a stainless steel lining, overflow gutters, and a movable fin
- Replacement of the diving platform
- Replacement of acoustic treatment
- Functional reorganization of the main hall
Technical and usage specifications
- Heat consumption <1700 kWh/m² pool/year and Electricity consumption <1200 kWh/m² pool/year
- Scheduling reliability ensured by installing a full platform over the Olympic pool to allow concurrent work on the roof structure and the pool's structural works
